I can has knitting bag?

I've been toting my projects around in a deep bag that my mom made, that has acoustic guitars on it, for ages. Trouble was, it was really deep, but not very wide. And I hated having to pull a Mary Poppins and sometimes put my head into my bag to search for something.

So, back in October, when Mom and Dad came to visit me in [college town I live in], Mom and I went to the local quilt fabric shop. This shop also has a small yarn section. I moseyed over to that section, and found bolts of knitting-related fabric! Specifically, this one and this one (by the way, credit for those images goes to Nancy's Quilt Shop). Ecstatic, because they would make a perfect knitting bag, I asked my mom for some (poor college student here! Mom's in town! Beg for stuff!).

Now that I'm home for the holidays (well, at least for part of the break), Mom and I sat down and figured out what I want for a knitting bag. So far, this is what we have:

And

(The black and white has knitting pattern abbreviations and notes on it)

So far, it features two pockets on the front of the bag (that's what those two lines going across it are- they help me find the pockets, with how busy the fabric is ;) ), a flat bottom, and it's quilted. Mom expects to finish it tomorrow, so finished pictures to come! Ooh, I'll be the envy of knitters (some places)!

Oh, and since those pics don't really show how big this bag is...

How's that for some perspective on the size? It's big enough to fit a sweater PLUS all the skeins I'd need to complete it!
