I've tried to knit clapotis. And I've done it multiple times. By frogging and starting over. With different needle sizes. By screwing up. By deciding "ooh, I like this size needle" then realizing it was too small for what its purpose would be.
So, I've decided to frog it and just look for something else.
Sorry, clapotis, you're not like the methicillin resistant staphylococcus infection. Because I'm getting rid of you. But who knows, maybe one day I'll find the perfect partner in yarn, and I'll contract you once again.
So, I'm thinking I may try Kiri with this. We'll see how well that works out. In the meantime, if you have any ideas for something to do with 900 yards of fingering weight yarn (that is not socks), please let me know. I'd greatly appreciate it. Oh, and the other limitations- the pattern has to be free and cannot use size 1, 2, or 6 needles (I have projects on those at the moment.) The 1 and 2 I'm more flexible about, but the size 6 needs to stay on its UFO, because once I finish the 2 1/2 pairs of socks I have on needles, I'm going back to that project. No more socks for a little while for me.
